Kathy Van Zeeland chats about her bag collection

Hi everyone, Kathy here!

Since my bags are appearing on Friday's Fashion Day, I thought I'd pop down and have a little chat about them.

How I started
I started Kathy Van Zeeland bags about four years ago when I was designing for one of the biggest accessory companys in America. I really wanted to start up on my own as I thought I could bring something fresh to the market.

My maiden name is Van Zeeland, so I named the company in tribute to my father who had recently passed away. Plus I have three sisters and wanted the Van Zeeland name to continue.

Pipa: I'm going on an Irish cruise with Stacey from Y.B.F!

Hi everyone,

I'm dropping you a quick note before I go on the Pajama Party at Sea 2008 cruise with my friend Stacey from Y.B.F.

I'm really excited about the cruise, which is organised by Y.B.F and is a fun girlie get-together where people can join in on interesting seminars about make-up and fashion, go to fab parties and make friends! I'm going to be singing on the cruise and I can't wait.

The cruise leaves from Cork in Ireland, and I'll let you know all about it when I come back next week, so watch this space!

In the meantime I'd better get packing as I'm leaving tomorrow!

Jilly Halliday has a fashion flashback

Hello everyone!

As most of you guessed, it was me in the photo! I was five years old at the time.

When I was younger I used to love all things pink. I still do actually but I've toned it down a bit now.

My friend, who I've known for over twenty years, always reminds me of the time we were in a West End show. On the very first day of rehearsals I turned up dressed from head to toe in a hideous fuchsia pink outfit! You could see me a mile away!

Catherine Huntley's summer style

Hello everyone,

As the British summer has been a bit of a wash-out, I thought I'd reminisce about sunnier times and holidays!

Pre-holiday rituals
Before I go away I use a bit of fake tan so I don’t stand out like a lily-white beacon on the beach! It also helps me to get into the holiday mood.

Other than that I'm quite last minute when it comes to the planning, and spend the first day realising I've forgotten everything! Usually the travel adaptor, toothpaste, knickers etc!!

Did you guess who the young presenter was? Lots of you got it right...it was me!

Since you saw me in my leg-warmers, I thought I'd have a chat with you about my fashion disasters. I've made a few in my time, and I've got the pictures to prove it…

Fashion frights
My biggest fashion faux pas was when I was 15 or 16. I used to have a crazy sense of style back then! I'd cut up different pairs of brightly-coloured tights and sew them together! So I'd have one blue leg and one pink leg! And then I’d wear a bandana around one knee.

I’d also wear a skirt with braces and a short boxy jacket that used to belong to my brother!! Now that's what I call weird.

I was known for having a having a wacky style and I even appeared on Noel Edmond's Late Late Breakfast Show looking very strange! But then a friend started to copy my style and I stopped. I would look at her and think she looked really silly so it gave me a wake up call!

Hi everyone,

I don't tend to keep much in my make-up bag as I hardly wear any make-up when I'm not on camera. However, I do have a make-up box that I carry in the boot of my car which probably has every make-up product we sell in it!

My three make-up bag essentials

1. Pupa lip gloss for a little shimmer 

2. Laura Geller bronzer 

3. Bare Escentuals brush-on foundation - I put on just a little as I'm running out the door!   

I guess you could say that I like the natural look!
